Dr Amy graduated from Bristol University in England in 2006 after which she worked in clinics, volunteered in both Spain and the Cook Islands, and did a year’s small animal internship at the Royal College of Veterinary Medicine in London. Having returned to GP vet work, Amy achieved her GP certificate in Small Animal Medicine. She is married to an Aussie called Graham and has 2 children - Grace & Jack – plus a Cavalier King Charles named Ruby. The family moved from Bristol in the UK to Wynnum in 2021, where Amy began locum work before settling into one clinic in 2022. It was there that she formed close bonds with patients and their owners, which inspired her to set up her own veterinary business. The house call aspect comes Amy’s house call euthanasia experience and seeing how much calmer patients and owners are in their home environment. Amy takes pride in her calm, experienced approach to her cases, and taking into consideration owners wishes and circumstances when formulating plans. She finds herself forming close bonds with clients and their pets, and loves the connection this brings. Community is important to Amy and she takes pride in providing a calm, reassuring veterinary service to her local area. Outside of work, Amy enjoys cycling, yoga, getting into nature, being creative and spending quality time with family and friends.
